Data Controller, Data Processor and Processing of your Personal Data

The data you provide within an environmental report may be and is almost always shared with, but not limited to, the appropriate Local Authority, Environmental Service Companies, Government Agencies or Environmental Agencies and their systems for the sole basis and purpose of resolving the environmental issue you have raised through Love Clean Streets.
The basis and purpose of the processing of the data you provide is to enable you to:
- Report environmental issues
- Provide the details of the issue to the relevant organisations for them to resolve the reported issue
- Keep updated with the progress of your reported issue by those responsible for resolving it.
Any Personal Data you submit within creating an account will be retained by Love Clean Streets for as long as you hold an account with us and until you request your account and its data be removed by us. Data provided specific to a report you raise or update will be retained by Love Clean Streets for 1 year after the last activity on that report.
All personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the Data Protection Act 2018. No data is transferred, held or processed outside of the UK. For more details on security, see clause 7 below.
Any or all of the above Data may be required by us from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience when using our Web Site or Apps. Specifically, Data may be used by us for the following reasons:
- internal record keeping;
- improvement of our products / services;
- To provide automatic location details of reports posted to Love Clean Streets we use location-based services on supported devices or web sites. This location data collected is used by our partners and licensees to locate and act upon the item reports. For example, we may share geographic location of a graffiti report with a local authority so they can find and remove it.
Your Rights with respect to the Personal Data we hold
Consent - You may access certain areas of the Web Site without providing any Data at all. However, to use all Services and Systems available on the Web Site or our apps you may be required to submit Account information or other Data. By providing that Personal Data and using the services you consent to the processing of your Personal Data in accordance with the terms laid out in section 3 above.
Right of Access - You may access your Account at any time to view or amend the Data. You may need to modify or update your Data if your circumstances change. You have the right to obtain from Love Clean Streets confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed by us, and, where that is the case, be provided with a copy of that personal data. Requests for Right of Access should be made via firstname.lastname@example.org. We will provide that information within 1 month of receipt of the request or provide a reason why we can’t within 1 month. Where the request is excessive, repetitive or more than one copy is requested we reserve the right to make a charge commensurate with the resources required to meet the request. The right to obtain a copy referred to above shall not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.
Right to Rectification – You have the right to request from Love Clean Streets the rectification of any of your personal data that is inaccurate. Requests for Right to Rectification should be made via email@example.com. We will rectify the information within 1 month of receipt of the request or provide a reason why we can’t within 1 month.
Right to Erasure (‘Right to be forgotten’) – You have the right to request from Love Clean Streets the deletion of your personal data. Requests for the Right to Erasure should be made via firstname.lastname@example.org. We will remove all Personal Data held within 1 month of receipt of the request or provide a reason why we can’t within 1 month. We will make all reasonable effort to make the request on your behalf to the organisations we have passed on your Personal Data to have them remove it too.
Right to Restriction of Processing – You have the right to request from Love Clean Streets that your Personal Data is not processed when any one of the following applies:
- the accuracy of the personal data is contested by you, for a period enabling us (the controller) to verify the accuracy of the personal data;
- the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of your personal data and request the restriction of its use instead;
- we no longer need the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but it is required by you for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
Requests for the Right to Restriction of Processing should be made via email@example.com. We will make all reasonable effort to make the request on your behalf to the organisations we have passed on your Personal Data to have them restrict processing too.
Right to Withdraw Consent – You have the right to request from Love Clean Streets that your Personal Data is removed and no longer consent to it being processed. Requests for the Right to withdraw Consent should be made via firstname.lastname@example.org. We will remove all Personal Data held within 1 month of receipt of the request or provide a reason why we can’t within 1 month and will not process further any data already held. We will make all reasonable effort to make the request on your behalf to the organisations we have passed on your Personal Data that you have withdrawn your consent to have your personal data processed. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Right to Complain to the Supervisory Authority – You have the right to complain to the Supervisory Authority if you feel your rights under the General Data Protection Regulations have been infringed. Changes of Business Ownership and Control
Love Clean Streets may, from time to time, expand or reduce its business and this may involve the sale of certain divisions or the transfer of control of certain divisions to other parties. Data provided by Users will, where it is relevant to any division so transferred, be transferred along with that division and the new owner or newly controlling party will, under the terms of this Policy, be permitted to use the Data for the purposes for which it was supplied by you.
